Snowy Days

After spending some time in Colorado I've come to the conclusion that there is entirely too much snow here. At first it was a nice change from the California sun...but now I know why tourists always raved about LA's beautiful weather. Don't get me wrong, snow can be beautiful too. I just prefer it in small doses.

At least in the midst of all the weather you can find adorable kids dressed in snow gear.

Actor - Headshots - Jasmin & Martin

This past week I took new headshots for a couple, Jasmin & Martin. After getting married, Jasmin got Martin to love acting as much as herself and they now often work on the same sets. Their old headshots were not working for them so they wanted to do a quick update for pilot season.

Martin recently had a speaking role on General Hospital. I wanted to show off the color of his eyes, I think they really draw you in.

Jasmin has a strong background in theater and has acted in a few European films during the past year. She's full of energy and I feel will have no trouble getting the attention of more casting directors.

It was a pleasure to shoot with them both. I wish them continued success and happiness.

Salton Sea Shoot

The last week in November I headed out to the Salton Sea for a fitness photo shoot with my friend and personal trainer, Michael Nemcik.

We rolled up straight for LA and were pleased to be welcomed with the unfamiliar sight of no one.

As soon as we arrived we immediately began work. There were so many potential great places to shoot that I didn't know where to start.

Easily one of the creepiest places I've ever been, everything in the area provided such a fascinating backdrop. Mike and I tried to use as much of it as possible during our trip. I was quite pleased with the results. Hopefully these photos will help grab the attention of some new clients.

I took advantage of the location to take some time-lapse and shoot some other things for iStockphoto. I will link to it on the site as soon as it becomes available.

All the video and photos from this shoot were shot using a Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 50mm 1.4, and Canon 17-40mm 4.0 lenses.
